Next Day 2   -->

Personal Comments, Day 1.......
Malvern 2006, first day and a new camera (Fuji FinePix S9500) to break in !
It worked OK but took a bit of getting used to. It was a hot day too, got through
five bottles of water and coke. I felt sorry for all those standing in the ring in the heat
and anyone who's camera or computer gear died in the exceptional heat too !

The standard of the horses on Day 1 was as good as ever and I got some
very nice pictures as you can see here. Thanks to a good friend,
Lesley Ann Hartman (an equine artist) I was placed nicely in the
stands to get a clear shot of most of the prize presentations.

Oh, and a personal plea, could somebody PLEASE do something
about the bum-numbing seats of that temporary grandstand !
There is also more leg room on an aircraft budget flight than
there is there. Oh how I wish for that old grandstand to return !
Note to self...bring a comfy chair or cushion on Days 2 and 3  8-)

I would like to thank all those who spent time
chatting to us and allowing us to photograph their horses.
