Another
head study of a horse, a grey Percheron this time. I'd certainly got the attention of this horse ! Taken on the Saturday, ASA200 film, 50mm fixed lens, using a Chinon CE4. I was using the fixed lens as the weather was dull on the Saturday afternoon, that lens opens up to F2.2 where the zoom only opens up to F4. I'd reduced the exposure 1 stop so as not to overexpose the grey horse, and moved to get the darker ears against the light part of the background. I think it worked 8-) |

The same
pair again, this time ready for the parade. Taken on the Sunday using ASA200 film, 50mm fixed lens, using a Chinon CE4. I wanted to get a 'picture postcard' style photograph here, as I thought the lighting and background were just right for a deep depth of field shot taken at f8 with a slower shutter speed (as they were stationary) that would capture a lot of detail and colour. |

A
parade of the horses, drays and other horse drawn
vehicles took place in the show ring before they left for
a tour of the city, returning to the park in the
afternoon. Taken on the Sunday, ASA200 film, 60-300mm zoom lens on the Chinon CE4. |
