Unicorn
Figures
Natures Kingdom Unicorn figures has various Unicorn figures for sale, do
take a look.
The Unicorn
Party
I recently came across a website referring to a new religion with
the Unicorn as it's
symbol. While I don't personally support it's views, it was still
interesting to visit
and read about it. After all that is what the freedom of the
internet is all about.
The site is called The unicorn party, and describes itself as "a new made up
religion",
taking the best of all others and inspiration from the spirit and
welcoming everyone."
Twilight
Productions
The author of Twilight
Productions emailed me
recently to tell me about her site and two
custom unicorn figures that she had made. These are just amazing
! (See the images below)
Not only that, but the site is an excellent one too. The site's
logo is a unicorn too, do
visit.
(Images above used with the permission of the artist, do not copy or distribute elsewhere)
This author has
also writing a new site devoted to fantasy creatures, including
Unicorns,
Pegasi, Dragons, Gryphons, etc. This new site will be devoted
entirely to fantasy
models and artwork. I will post the link here once the site is
online.
Unicorn
Winery
Are you interested in Unicorns, and wine too ?
Then you may like to visit the Unicorn Winery
Located in Virginia, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge
Mountains,
the Unicorn Winery specializes in producing premium Virginia
varietal wines.
What's more, their logo is a Unicorn too !!

One place I
often visit to find original artwork on the Internet is the
Elfwood gallery at http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/elfwood.html
It states it is
the largest home of amateur Science Fiction & Fantasy art and
fiction, and I believe this to be
quite a true statement from what I've seen ! It's a non-profit
project created and maintained by
Thomas F Abrahamsson and others, based in Sweden.
There is a lot
of wonderful unicorn artwork to be found on there in the "Lothlorien" online
art gallery ! In each edition, I do a review of some of the best
that I've found there.
I have now moved this review section to a separate page.
Click here to read this editions review.
I will be mentioning more unicorn artwork from this gallery
site over the next few editions...........

This editions award goes to ....
This editions award goes to a German language Unicorn website,
called Deliahs Einhornseiten.
This is an excellent website. Not only is it well designed with a
tidy layout, good
graphics and a clear structure, but it is full of varied
information about unicorns !
This site lists 28 stories,
15 poems, 270 other pages including information on
the legend of the unicorn as well as a picture collection
featuring 97 different artists.
It's easy to navigate too, The "Rose path" (Rosenpfade)
explains what is on
the site and has short-cuts and advice on how to get you there.
An amazing amount of time
and effort must have gone into
constructing this site, for that alone it would deserve
recognition.
However in addition the content is excellent and it is well
designed,
with a neat, artistic layout so it well deserves this editions
award.
So, do I don't read German I hear you say ? Well, you don't need
to.
You can use the "Babel Fish" webpage translator to view it through !
You can find it at http://world.altavista.com/tr.
Just select the option to translate from German to English and
put in the
sites URL of www.deliah.com It does a reasonable job of
translating the
site. After all, the internet is international, so why not take a
look at a site
in a different language ? You may be pleasantly surprised by what
you find.

More Unicorn Pictures
Another unusual
unicorn picture.
These two impressive stone unicorn figures are
on a factory wall in Stafford near my home.
They were erected when the building was
constructed which was sometime around 1937-1938.
Click on the image to see a close-up of one of these.
(These recent digital camera pictures replace the one's shown here previously)

Recently several more people
have sent to me some wonderful unicorn
artwork they had created, which with their permission
I am showing on these pages

This picture, created using
Photoshop, was sent to me by Mare Astra
as a self portrait. She is significant for having one of the
first Unicorn
websites I ever found on the Internet, and her site helped to
inspire the creation of this website over three years ago.

This was one of two pictures
sent to me by an artist called Shar.
Again, as I liked it so much, I asked if it could be displayed
here.

This wonderful
unicorn snow-globe was sent to me by Meneka Acosta
You can visit Meneka's website at http://homepages.go.com/~meneka/

Content and Originality
Original work is becoming
rarer, and certainly should be valued. But too many
websites recently though are copying others ideas and work then
claiming
sole right to it themselves ! They also often use annoying Java
code that
stops the right mouse button from working. It's not easy to
bookmark pages
easily for reviewing on this page when half the browsers
functions have
been disabled by unfriendly Java code ! There are better
ways of protecting original images such as watermarks.
