One place I
often visit to find original artwork on the Internet is the
Elfwood gallery at http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/elfwood.html
It states it is
the largest home of amateur Science Fiction & Fantasy art and
fiction, and I believe this to be
quite a true statement from what I've seen ! It's a non-profit
project created and maintained by
Thomas F Abrahamsson and others, based in Sweden.
There is a lot
of wonderful unicorn artwork to be found on there in the "Lothlorien" online art gallery !
Don't set out with the intention of spending a short time going
through this site, you wont, in fact, you
could spend weeks ! There is that much artwork there, and some of
it of a very high standard
indeed ! There is a search engine there that will help you find
things though.
(Please note,
some images there may not be suitable for minors !)
In the last editions, I reviewed the pages of some artists I found
there,
So, here are pointers to some more artists pages I've enjoyed
seeing recently :-
Melissa Laureen Thomas has a wonderful series of unicorn pictures,
especially
one called
'Unicorn Mare' which is a wonderful, simple but beautiful picture,
Another excellent picture is called
'The
Mirror Pond', is definitely worth seeing,
There are also some very good anthro-unicorn figures too !
All the pictures by
Melissa are definitely worth seeing.
Another
artist who has drawn some good unicorn pictures is
Alina L.
Klycheva
There are also a large number of good centaur drawings there too,
'Palomino Centauress' is an excellent example of this work.
Another picture worth seeing is
'Minds Eye' by
Christine
Marie Fitzer,
this is a beautiful picture that at first sight looks like a photograph !
'Little
Beastmaster' by
Anneliese Stehwien is an excellent picture in an anime
style,
'Purple Passion' is also another good picture by this artist.
Nicole 'Storm-Rider' Fletcher also has a number of good unicorn pictures.
For some
good Pegasus pictures, take a look at pictures by
Michelle Hoefener,
especially the pictures 'Feathered Equine' and 'Seeing into Perspective'.
I will be mentioning more Unicorn artwork from this gallery
site over the next few editions...........
